Terms of use
To be validated. This text was written to reflect how the platform actually works. We recommend having it reviewed by a legal advisor before the public launch.
Last updated: October 8, 2026
1. Purpose
These terms of use (the “Terms”) govern the use of the Soumets ton projet website (the “Platform”), operated by Solutions Techno-Rédac inc. (“we”). By using the Platform, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Platform.
2. Description of the service
The Platform allows businesses and individuals (the “Clients”) to post a project description for free, and allows professionals, freelancers and businesses (the “Professionals”) to browse these projects and express their interest. The Platform acts solely as an intermediary that connects them: it is not a party to the agreements concluded between Clients and Professionals, takes no commission on those agreements and does not process any payments between them.
3. Posting a project
- Posting a project is free. It requires a Client account, with a confirmed email address.
- Each project is reviewed before it is published. We may refuse a project, edit it to make it clearer, or remove a project that is incomplete, misleading, illegal or contrary to these Terms.
- The Client guarantees that the information provided is accurate and that they are authorized to post the project.
- The Client’s contact information is never displayed publicly. It is not sent to Professionals: exchanges take place in the platform’s messaging system, and the Client is free to decide whether to share their contact information.
- The Client may ask us at any time to remove their project by writing to us.
4. Professionals’ accounts and subscriptions
- Browsing projects is free. Expressing interest requires an account and an active subscription.
- The plans offered, their prices and their limits (for example, the number of expressions of interest per month) are described on the Subscriptions page. Prices are in Canadian dollars, plus applicable taxes.
- Subscriptions are offered only to Professionals who reside in Canada or, in the case of a business, have an establishment in Canada. When subscribing, you must indicate your province or territory of residence and confirm that you reside in Canada. This information is also used to calculate the applicable taxes (GST, HST or QST). We may refuse, suspend or cancel a subscription taken out from outside Canada or based on inaccurate information.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period (monthly or annual) until they are cancelled. Payment is processed by our payment provider (Stripe).
- You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. Refunds are governed by our refund policy.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for any activity carried out from your account.
5. Expressions of interest
By expressing interest in a project, you authorize the sending of your contact information, your message and the links provided to the Client. Expressions of interest must be serious, relevant and respectful. Using the contact information obtained for purposes other than the project concerned, including unsolicited solicitation, is prohibited.
Messaging. An expression of interest opens a private conversation between the Client and the Professional. Exchanges must remain respectful and related to the project. It is prohibited to send illegal, hateful, harassing or misleading content, malicious links or requests for banking information or passwords. The Client may close a conversation at any time; a Professional cannot send more than three consecutive messages without a reply. Messages are encrypted. Soumets ton projet administrators may access them only in exceptional cases, to handle a dispute or a report of abuse, to respond to a request from an authority empowered to require it, or to respond to an access request made under the law. Each access is justified and recorded in a register. Soumets ton projet may suspend a conversation or an account that violates these Terms.
6. Users’ responsibilities
- Clients and Professionals are solely responsible for their exchanges, their agreements and the performance of the work or services.
- It is up to the Client to check the Professional’s qualifications, permits and insurance, including the Régie du bâtiment du Québec (RBQ) licence for construction work.
- Posting content that is illegal, misleading, discriminatory, defamatory or that infringes the rights of others is prohibited.
7. Intellectual property
The Platform’s content (text, design, logos, code) is protected. Users retain the rights to the content they submit and grant us a non-exclusive licence to display it on the Platform for the purposes of the service.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Platform is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee the accuracy of published projects, the quality of the services offered by Professionals, or that a contract will be concluded. We cannot be held liable for damages arising from relationships between users.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that violates these Terms, with notice when circumstances allow.
10. Changes
We may change these Terms. The current version is always published on this page with its update date. Subscribers will be notified of any significant change.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
12. Contact us
